This course mainly introduce the fundamentals and basic methods of numerical weather prediction.
Students systematically grasp the fundamentals of numerical weather prediction; know the methods to make numerical weather prediction in real time; initially have the ability to design numerical weather prediction model. Through the course study, students are prepared for future work such as numerical weather prediction application, interpretation of numerical weather products and numerical simulation research.
Teaching and learning methods:
20% regular grades plus 80% final exam.
