Research Interests: Electromagnetic Field Theory, Microwave & Millimeter Wave, Antenna, Radar System.

He was born in Nanjing, China, on August, 1960. He graduated from Department of Electronic Engineering, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1982, and received the M.S. degree from Department of Electronic Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnic University (Xi‘an) in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Radio Engineering, Southeast University (Nanjing) in 1991. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China(Chengdu)from 1991 to 1993.
In 1993, he joined Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA), Beijing, China. He became a Professor from 1994, and was Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering of BUAA from 1995 to 1998. From 1997 to 1998, he was a Visiting Professor to research W-CDMA mobile communication system in NTT DoCoMo, Yokosuka, Japan. From 1998 to 1999, he was a COE (Center of Excellence) Research Fellow to research millimeter wave and optical technology in Communication Research Laboratory (CRL), Tokyo, Japan, Ministry of Telecommunications of Japan. From 1999 to 2011, he was a Deputy General Manger of Research & Development Department of YoKoWo Company, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. In 2011, he joined Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing, China, as a Head of School of Electronics & Information Technology.
He has authored or coauthored over 60 papers and over ten patents. His research includes electromagnetic field theory, microwave and millimeter wave technology, antenna, mobile communication, and Radar System. Dr. Ge was the recipient of Second-Class Prize of Scientific Progress Awards presented by the National Board of Education of China, and Third-Class Prize of Scientific Progress Awards presented by the Ministry of Aeronautics of China, in 1994 and 1995, respectively.
