Brief Introduction:
The aim of this program is to prepare students for basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, electronics and computer and basic skills of optical information processing technology, modern electronic technology and computer application technology. Students are expected to develop career in information technology fields such as optical communications, optical information processing, and electronic information science and computer science, especially optics-mechanic-electronics-computer-integrated industry and be engaged in scientific research, product design and development, production, techniques or management.

The core courses of this program include advanced mathematics, linear algebra, probability theory and mathematical statistics, mechanics thermology, atomic physics, electromagnetics, general physics experiment, mechanical drafting, mechanical design, mathematical methods of physics, computer programming, fundamentals of circuits, analogue circuits, digital circuits, theory of information optics and its applications, theory of electromagnetics, optical image processing, holography, physical optics, applied optics, optical design, principles of lasers and laser technology and experiments for optoelectronic technology.
