Research Overview

Since its foundation, School of Languages and Cultures has a rapid development in scientific research. It has made great achievements on assuming high-level program and publishing high-level papers. Teachers in our university have assumed 99 research projects by the form of individual or teamwork since 2008, which costs 3,201,000 RMB. There are 5 projects on national level, with a fund of 1,120,000 RMB and other projects both on provincial and ministerial level with a fund of 1,222,000 RMB. Besides, we have published 310 academic papers of high level in “Literary Criticism”, “Literature and Art Studies”, “Jianghai Academic Journal”, “Jiangsu Higher Education”, “Jiangsu Social Science” and other domestic and foreign academic journals. What’s more, we have published a number of works and textbooks in China Social Sciences Press, Science Press, China Meteorological Press, Zhonghua Book Company authority (famous) publishing house such as “Modern Novels: the narrative form and the value idea”, “Practical Translation essence about EST”, “An Empirical Study for translation Studies---A Multifaceted Perspective”, “Comparison of Chinese and Western culture and language in the context of globalization”, “History of the Republic of China phonetic alphabet policy", “Meteorological science and technology English reading”, “Meteorological science and technology English translation” and so on. We have achieved 1 award on both provincial and ministerial level and 3 awards by City Hall.
