Principal Delegation from SUNY Potsdam paid a visit to NUIST

On the afternoon of June 16, Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg, president of the State University of New York at Potsdam (SUNY Potsdam), visited our university with the delegation. President Jiang Jianqing met with the delegation in the Guest Reception Room. Representatives of Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, College of International Students, School of Mathematics and Statistics, Economic Management, Media and Art attended the meeting and had a discussion with the delegation.

President Jiang jianqing extended his warmest welcome to the President Kristin g. Esterberg for her first visit to NUIST, and introduced the status quo of development history, industrial characteristics, international training and international cooperation of our university, and hoped that the two universities will expand the cooperation field on the basis of Sino-US 121 project, to establish an undergraduates and graduates exchange program, and to build up multi-directional cooperation.

After the meeting, a seminar was held in Conference Room No.428 between the delegation and the present representatives, which was presided over by Vice President Wang Yao. Wang Suchun, Dean of College of International Students, started her presentation with a short video to introduce international education to the delegation and made an overall introduction to our international cooperation and exchange. Krista LaVack, Director of the International Education of SUNY Potsdam, made a presentation of her university. Then both parties agreed to carry out exchange of staff, students and teaching in disciplines such as mathematics, geography, environmental science, management and art.

After that, the delegation had a campus tour accompanied by the staff from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and then took pictures at the end.
