On the afternoon of November 13, Li Meixian, director of the Korea Chungcheongnam-do Education and Legal Affairs Officer, Jin Chengji, director of Chinese Language Education School of Sunmoon University and Jin Renying, director of the International Education and Exchange Office of Soonchunhyang University visited our school. Principal Li Beiqun and Chief Accountant Hu Mingbao met with the delegation and held friendly talks in the Guest Reception Room. Representatives of Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges and College of International Students attended the meeting and had a discussion with the delegation.
President Li Beiqun warmly welcomed the the Chungcheongnam-do Education delegation and briefly introduced the overall development of our university. He pointed out that our school is on the list of China’s "Double First-rate" universities and disciplines and is included in the provincial high-level universities in Jiangsu Province, which has high degree of internationalization. To date, the WMO Regional Training Centre Nanjing at NUIST has trained over 3000 senior meteorological and hydrological personnel for 153countries and regions and become the world’s largest training center with a top quality of WMO. Meanwhile, the number of foreign students in our school is constantly increasing, among which Korean students occupy an important proportion. President Li said that our university has maintained close cooperation with Korean universities and hoped to further promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides through this meeting.
Li Meixian expressed her thanks for the reception of our school. She hoped that more South Korean students would come to China for study in the future and at the same time more NUIST students would go to Korea for exchanges. Director Jin Chengji and Director Jin Renying briefly introduced their universities and hoped to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation with our university.
After the meeting, Chungcheongnam-do Education delegation visited our campus and highly praised the environment and infrastructure.
