Mainly engaged in the research of Small and Medium Scale Numerical Simulation and Data Assimilation, Storm Scale Ensemble Forecasting, Climate Change and Regional Response.

Presided over one of the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Presided over three projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and published more than 120 academic papers in core and above journals including more than 20 in SCI.

 

Study experience 
 In 1988, graduated from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology with a bachelor's degree in Synoptic Dynamics;

In 1995, graduated from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology with a master's degree in Meteorology;

In 2000, graduated from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology with a doctorate in Meteorology.

From March 2002 to May 2003, Senior Visiting Scholar, Center for Storm Analysis and Forecasting, University of Oklahoma, USA;

From May 2003 to October 2006, deputy director of Nanjing Institute of Meteorology, Open Laboratory of Disastrous Weather Research, Open Laboratory of Meteorological Disasters and Environmental Change, Key Laboratory of Meteorological Disasters in Jiangsu Province;

From December 2012 to May 2014, assistant president of NUIST, Dean of College of Atmospheric Sciences, Director of Key Laboratory of Ministry of Meteorological Disaster Education (concurrently), Executive Director of Cooperative Innovation Center of Meteorological Disaster Prediction, Early Warning and Assessment, and Executive Director of Meteorology Department;

From May 2014 up to now, Vice President of NUIST, Member of the Standing Committee of the NUIST CPC Committee.
