1. Overview of Climate College

The Climate College is a high-level international collaborative education and research platform initiated by Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), built in partnership with universities worldwide. Relying on NUIST’s leading disciplinary advantages in climate and meteorological fields and rich experience in international cooperation, the Climate College integrates talent cultivation, professional training, scientific research innovation and academic exchange into a unified framework. It aims to cultivate high-quality interdisciplinary talents for global climate governance, promote technological innovation and achievement transformation in climate-related fields, and provide practical solutions for regional and global climate change response and sustainable development.

Up to now, NUIST has successfully established 7 Climate Colleges with prestigious universities in 5 key countries including Ghana, Uganda, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan and Myanmar, forming a high-quality international cooperation network covering climate-sensitive regions such as Africa, Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
